My dear friend from high school, Carlota Zimmerman, just happens to be a social media expert. And I mean this for real. Not the type of “expert” who wakes up one morning and says, “I’m a social media expert” because s/he likes to play Bubble Witch on Facebook, but rather the type that is a contributing writer for the Huffington Post (the largest blog in the world), has had a successful career in broadcast journalism, is now running a business helping other solopreneurs and artists achieve their dreams and goals, and still has time to bake cookies and do her friend a solid by modeling a new shawlette pattern.
Ok, I’ve exaggerated just a bit. I’m pretty sure Carlota doesn’t bake cookies. (She does, however, rescue cats, which is equally admirable and less fattening.)
Carlota is leading a social media workshop for women, Female Trouble, on October 18, 2014 in New York City. (You can read Carlota’s explanation of why it’s only for women on her blog here.) Unfortunately, I can’t attend since I happen to teach a crochet class at the same time. But that has turned into your good luck, because I’m hosting a giveaway for one ticket to this event.
If you’re a woman artist (including all of us creative yarn entrepreneurs – makers, yarnies, designers, writers, bloggers, and more!), and you’ll be in New York City on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., you should enter the giveaway for your chance to win a ticket and get your questions about Twitter, Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram answered!
If you can’t attend, you can spread the word! (If you share this in Twitter, please let me @cyeshow and Carlota @kittenmagix know!) But please, don’t enter the giveaway unless you plan to attend the workshop.
This giveaway is open to any woman artist who will actually be available to attend the Female Trouble workshop in Manhattan, NY on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Enter by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, October 11, 2014. One winner will be chosen at random. Good luck!
