This Week’s Episode
In this week’s episode, I share an update on the Thank You Card Challenge I issued to myself in October. I used this challenge to show my gratitude to people who helped out my business in 2014 and also to help myself plan for 2015.
I created a list of about 45 people who supported my business in 2014. I wrote handwritten thank you/New Year’s cards to about half of them because I could easily obtain their mailing addresses. I drafted emails for the remaining people, and created an ecard using Canva. I plan to email these out for the New Year. (You can learn more about Canva in Episode 6: Free and Low Cost (Visual) Branding Resources.)
I’d also like to thank you, the listeners, for your support during 2014! (I don’t get access to your mailing addresses with my podcast stats, but I do express my thanks on the show.)
I interviewed Michele Wang about her yarn pop up shop, Gauge and Tension, in Episode 13. Michele has recently announced that Gauge and Tension will continue on in 2015. Starting in February, she will be co-located with Brett Bara‘s Brooklyn Craft Company. (So, if you haven’t yet visited, you still have a chance to check out Gauge and Tension next year!)
I also shared a reminder about the second live episode of the Creative Yarn Entrepreneur Show. Join me and my special guest, Carlota Zimmerman, on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 for a G+ Hangout on Air. I hope to see you there live, but if you can’t attend, do consider sending in your questions beforehand!
Did you participate in the thank you card challenge? Do you have other New Year’s traditions in your business? Leave a comment below, Tweet me at @cyeshow, or leave a message at 646-713-8973. (You can call me for free through the Contact page.)
